Lessons from Isaiah Arise and Shine!
The Church realizes its true mission only as it reflects the Divine light, which means, simply, realizes the life which was in Jesus Christ A. H. Bradford June 10, 2018

God Revealed Himself to His Creation
Walked in the cool of the Garden Spoke to Abraham multiple times Spoke to Moses multiple times Cloud and Pillar of Fire Spoke to prophets, judges, kings Solomon’s temple dedication Still, small, quiet whisper Immanuel – Jesus Christ!

John 14:9 Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long, and you still do not know Me, Philip? Whoever has seen Me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?

Isaiah 59:20 “And a Redeemer will come to Zion, to those in Jacob who turn from transgression,” declares the LORD. Luke 19:10 For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.

Isaiah 59:21 “And as for me, this is my covenant with them,” says the LORD: “My Spirit that is upon you, and my words that I have put in your mouth, shall not depart out of your mouth, or out of the mouth of your offspring, or out of the mouth of your children’s offspring,” says the LORD, “from this time forth and forevermore.”

Isaiah 60:1 Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD has risen upon you.

Isaiah 60:1 Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD has risen upon you.

Isaiah 52:1-2 Awake, awake, put on your strength, O Zion; put on your beautiful garments, O Jerusalem, the holy city; for there shall no more come into you the uncircumcised and the unclean. Shake yourself from the dust and arise; be seated, O Jerusalem; loose the bonds from your neck, O captive daughter of Zion.

Isaiah 60:1 Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD has risen upon you.

2 Kings 17:33 So they feared the Lord but also served their own gods, after the manner of the nations from among whom they had been carried away.

Ephesians 5:6-8 Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. Therefore do not become partners with them; for at one time you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light…

Matthew 5:14-16 You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.

Philippians 2:14-15 Do all things without grumbling or disputing, that you may be blameless and innocent, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and twisted generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world,

Isaiah 60:1 Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD has risen upon you.

Luke 1:76-79 And you, child, will be called the prophet of the Most High; for you will go before the Lord to prepare His ways, to give knowledge of salvation to His people in the forgiveness of their sins, because of the tender mercy of our God, whereby the sunrise shall visit us from on high to give light to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.

John 1:6-10 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. He came as a witness, to bear witness about the light, that all might believe through him. He was not the light, but came to bear witness about the light. The true light, which gives light to everyone, was coming into the world. He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, yet the world did not know Him.

John 3:19-21 And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil. For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his works should be exposed. But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in God.

John 8:12 Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows Me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

John 12:35-36 So Jesus said to them, “The light is among you for a little while longer. Walk while you have the light, lest darkness overtake you. The one who walks in the darkness does not know where he is going. While you have the light, believe in the light, that you may become sons of light.”

Colossians 1:12-14 …giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in light. He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.

Revelation 21:22-25 And I saw no temple in the city, for its temple is the Lord God the Almighty and the Lamb. And the city has no need of sun or moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and its lamp is the Lamb. By its light will the nations walk, and the kings of the earth will bring their glory into it, and its gates will never be shut by day—and there will be no night there.

Revelation 22:3-5 No longer will there be anything accursed, but the throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and His servants will worship Him. They will see His face, and His name will be on their foreheads. And night will be no more. They will need no light of lamp or sun, for the Lord God will be their light, and they will reign forever and ever.

1 John 2:3-11 Ought to walk in the same way True light is shining Relationships matter greatly Love = walking in Light Hate = darkness and leads to more darkness and stumbling

Isaiah 60:1 Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD has risen upon you.

For Our Consideration Have you met the Light? How do children of the Light differ from those in darkness? Are we awake in the Light? Are we walking in love or less than love towards others?

Prayer Focus Thank You Father for delivering us from the kingdom of darkness into Your Kingdom of Light Thank You for Your Word that explains such truth to us Thank You for Your saving love and grace poured out each day
