IBS needs to maintain its book of account properly so that partner’s can file tax return correctly. Also, book of account should be maintained as per GAAP guidelines. IBS needs to follow labor laws in force.It has to provide minimum pay to the employees prescribed by the labor law. Also, employment issues such as the basic pays, employees benefits, compensations, perks, health care, deductions etc need to be addressed as per the labor laws. Being an accounting firm, IBS has to promote ethical accounting practice. Complying with GAAP and International accounting standard is not enough. Many of the things are purchased periodically and also many books of accounts are needed to be transferred from one location to other location frequently, IBS has tied up with courier service to ensure fast delivery. Requirement of new software and books is analyzed at headquarter level and purchased centrally. Stationery is purchased at branch level. IBS keeps no stock of stationery. Inventory of books and software are kept at branch level so that employees can refer to them when required.
