4 B.O.B. Activity! Personal Possessive Indefinite Demonstrative
Shade EACH tab a different color: Personal Possessive Indefinite Demonstrative Intensive AND Reflexive Interrogative Cut and glue the two rows of tabs into your IAN DO NOT GLUE THEM ALL THE WAY DOWN

5 Somewhere on your page write down these definitions
Pronoun: a word that takes the place of a noun in a sentence. Antecedent: the noun that a pronoun is replacing.

6 Notes You will be given a definition to copy down
Write this on the TAB portion. We will then give you examples Write those on the NOTEBOOK paper underneath.

7 Personal Pronouns personal pronouns Brain Pop subjective objective
typical pronouns replace the subject or object. They must agree in gender, number and case. Brain Pop subjective objective I, you, he, she, it, we, they me, you, him, her, it, us, them

8 Possessive Pronouns pronouns that show ownership
Must match in case, number, and gender examples: my, your, his, hers, its, our, their, yours, ours, theirs

9 Indefinite Pronouns a pronoun that does not refer to any specific person, amount, or thing in particular They can be singular OR plural (see chart for examples) examples: anything, something, anyone, everyone, everybody, somebody, everything, nobody, no one, several, some, someone

10 Demonstrative Pronouns
point out a specific person, place, thing, or idea NEVER USE HERE OR THERE WITH A DEMONSTRATIVE examples: this, that, these, those

11 Intensive pronouns Emphasize the noun or pronoun in the same sentence
Intensive are not necessary for the understanding of the sentence Example Sentence I myself cannot stand to watch scary movies. Examples of both (copy these): myself, ourselves, yourself, yourselves, himself, herself, itself, themselves

12 Reflexive pronouns Refer to the subject and directs the action of the verb back to the subject You need it for the sentence to make sense! Example: I patted myself on the back! I looked at myself in the mirror.

13 Interrogative Pronouns
pronouns that are used to ask questions and stand for something not yet known examples: Subject: who Object: whom Possessive: whose which, what
