2 14 May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O LORD, my Rock and my Redeemer. (Psalms 19:14)

3 1 The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.
2 Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they display knowledge. (Psalms 19:1-2)

4 3 There is no speech or language where their voice is not heard.
4 Their voice goes out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world. (Psalms 19:3-4a)

5 7 The law of the LORD is perfect, reviving the soul
7 The law of the LORD is perfect, reviving the soul. The statutes of the LORD are trustworthy, making wise the simple. 8 The precepts of the LORD are right, giving joy to the heart. The commands of the LORD are radiant, giving light to the eyes. (Psalms 19:7-8)

6 9 The fear of the LORD is pure, enduring forever
9 The fear of the LORD is pure, enduring forever. The ordinances of the LORD are sure and altogether righteous. (Psalms 19:9)

7 12 But who can discern their own errors. Forgive my hidden faults
12 But who can discern their own errors? Forgive my hidden faults. (Ps 19:12) (See: Psalms 119:11)

8 13 Keep your servant also from willful sins; may they not rule over me
13 Keep your servant also from willful sins; may they not rule over me. Then I will be blameless, innocent of great transgression. (Psalms 19:13)

9 14 May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O LORD, my Rock and my Redeemer. (Psalms 19:14)

10 2 Fools find no pleasure in understanding but delight in airing their own opinions. (Proverbs 18:21)

11 God sees the menace of my words
22 Neighbors lie to each other, speaking with flattering lips and insincere hearts. (Psalms 12:2 NLT)

12 20 What comes out of a man is what makes him ‘unclean.’
21 For from within, out of men's hearts, come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, 22 greed, malice, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander, arrogance and folly. 23 All these evils come from inside and make a man ‘unclean.’” (Mark 7:20-23)

13 36 But I tell you that men will have to give account on the day of judgment for every careless word they have spoken. 37 For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned.” (Matthew 12:36-37)

14 4 For there is not a word on my tongue, But behold, O LORD, You know it altogether. (Psalms 139:4)

15 2. God sees the measure of my words
45 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks. (Luke 6:45)

16 9 Therefore we make it our aim, whether
9 Therefore we make it our aim, whether present or absent, to be well pleasing to Him. (2 Corinthians 5:9)

17 29 Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers. (Ephesians 4:29)

18 Measuring your words helps guard your life.
23 Above all else, guard your heart, for it affects everything you do. 24 Avoid all perverse talk; stay far from corrupt speech. 25 Look straight ahead, and fix your eyes on what lies before you. (Proverbs 4:23-25)

19 26 Mark out a straight path for your feet;
26 Mark out a straight path for your feet; then stick to the path and stay safe. 27 Don’t get sidetracked; keep your feet from following evil. (Proverbs 4:26-27)

20 Measuring your words helps control your life.
2 We all make many mistakes, but those who control their tongues can also control themselves in every other way. (James 3:2 NLT)

21 3 But among you there must not be
3 But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God’s holy people. 4 Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk or coarse joking, which are out of place, but rather thanksgiving. (Ephesians 5:3-4)

22 1 “I will guard my ways, Lest I sin with my tongue; I will restrain my mouth with a muzzle, While the wicked are before me.” (Psalms 39:1)

23 14 May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O LORD, my Rock and my Redeemer. (Psalms 19:14 NIV)
