“the addition of any substance (solid, liquid, or gas) or any form of energy (such as heat, sound, or radioactivity) to the environment at a rate faster than it can be dispersed, diluted, decomposed, recycled, or stored in some harmless form.” 

4. What makes up our environment?
Includes “the air, water, and land in or on which people, animals, and plants live.” 

5. The group (3-4 students) will conduct a thorough research on an environmental issue on pollution with the use of the public policy analyst (PPA) steps.

1. Define the problem 2. Gather the evidence 3. Identify the causes 4. Evaluate an existing policy 5. Develop solutions 6. Select the best solution (feasibility vs effectiveness)
