3 What is POLLUTION? POLLUTION “the addition of any substance (solid, liquid, or gas) or any form of energy (such as heat, sound, or radioactivity) to the environment at a rate faster than it can be dispersed, diluted, decomposed, recycled, or stored in some harmless form.” 

4 What makes up our environment?
Includes “the air, water, and land in or on which people, animals, and plants live.” 

5 The group (3-4 students) will conduct a thorough research on an environmental issue on pollution with the use of the public policy analyst (PPA) steps. 

6 Public Policy Analyst (PPA) steps:
1. Define the problem 2. Gather the evidence 3. Identify the causes 4. Evaluate an existing policy 5. Develop solutions 6. Select the best solution (feasibility vs effectiveness)

7 Information in your research include, but not limited to the following:
definition and/or description of the problem, its cause(s), its effects, and possible way(s) to minimize, if not to stop it.
