2 Removable Graduation Prosthodontics Expectations
By graduation, students must demonstrate that they can treat an edentulous or partially edentulous patient with removable prostheses and prepare appropriate laboratory prescriptions.

3 Removable Graduation Prosthodontics Expectations
Each student must complete 5 removable prosthetic experiences (patients) This could amount to as many as ten removable prosthodontic “pieces” Also required is a Removable Competency

4 5 Removable Experiences
2 cases must have both arches completely edentulous (in other words, 2 F/F cases). 2 cases must include fabrication of at least one partial denture. At least 1 experience must include a post surgical delivery of a removable prostheses (immediate).

5 5 Removable Experiences
There are alternate sources of denture credit towards those 5 experiences other than the general clinic: La Clinica and the Special Needs Clinic/Program are acceptable. Gene LaBarre gives good feedback from La Clinica about each student.

6 Removable Competency Competencies should start as soon as a student has completed a F/F or F/Partial in the clinic. Competency must be done on one of student’s assigned patients from start to finish with calibrated removable/prosths faculty only.

7 Competency Has 4 Parts Diagnosis, Preliminary, and Final Impressions
Jaw relations (midline/lip line, vertical dimension, and centric relation determination record) Wax Try-in (remount if necessary, patient esthetic acceptance, phonetics) Delivery (and follow up appointments established)
