As an example, we show the identification of one of these altered proteins (arrow). (B) Peptide mass fingerprint spectrum was obtained on a Bruker Ultraflex TOF/TOF MALDI mass spectrometer (Bruker-Daltonics GmbH, Bremen, Germany). (C) The measured tryptic peptide masses were transferred through the MS BioTools program (Bruker-Daltonics) as inputs to search the MSBD database using Mascot software (Matrix Science, London, UK). This spot protein was positively identified as mitochondrial adenosine triphosphate synthase D chain.
