2 Abstract In R3.1.E: The draft specification shall include support for an efficient channelization in China’s (5,725 ~ 5,850 MHz) spectrum. To complement with a 120MHz signal design, the number of data subcarrier and the frequency interleaver design is proposed in this contribution . Slide 2 Sun Bo, ZTE Corp

3 Background In last Hawaii meeting, following statements were accepted:
In R3.1.E: The draft specification shall include support for an efficient channelization in China’s (5,725 ~ 5,850 MHz) spectrum. A possible 120MHz signal solution in Chinese 5GHz spectrum is as figured below. 5727.5 7.5 5735 40MHz 80MHz 20MHz 5847.5 f MHz 120MHz 5835 12.5

4 The Challenge to 120MHz Signal Design
In order to obtain best spectral efficiency, the maximal number of the data tone can be calculated Maximal data point = FFT point - Pilot tone - DC tone - Guard tone The selection of the data tone number must consider the frequency interleave Throughput using 120MHz transmission 1 Gbps throughput must be achieved Increase the data throughput about 50%, compared with 80 MHz transmission

5 Data Tones for Single 120MHz Signal
Propose to use : Single 384 point FFT 12 Pilot tones,3 DC tones, 6 left guard tones, 5 right guard tones 348 data tones although 358 subcarriers can be used Data rate with some MCS # Streams MCS BW #data tones / symbol MAC Throughput* 8 256-QAM 3/4 40 MHz 108 1.01 Gbps 4 80 MHz 234 1.09 Gbps 3 64-QAM 2/3 160 MHz 468 2 16-QAM 2/3 120MHz 348 1.08 Mbps 1.22Gbps Slide 5 Sun Bo, ZTE Corp
