Zero tolerance policy Respect the people who are volunteering their time We have added new education opportunities for umpires. Umpires- they are kids who are learning. Verbal insults will not be tolerated. You will be asked to leave. Please be Respectful For the kids. Its more than winning a game Let the coaches coach Enjoy watching your child’s game Do not heckle the players, umpires or coaches Be adults!!! Please remember you are setting examples for the children around you Vikki
11
Support your team Easiest way to do this is to support your coach and reinforce their rules Be on time for practices and attendance Be on time game day and attendance Some coaches may require players to be early for games, support their rules as much as possible (Ask for help) Volunteer Opportunities – ASK!! COMMUNICATION!!!!! Offer Help (background check required) Vikki
12
Mandatory PLay Every player who shows up for a game is required to bat once and have 6 consecutive outs on the field.( Pg.41, reg 4: Players, Rule Book) Only exception to this rule is during tournament and there are 13 players or more on a team, then only 1 bat is required and no field play is required That being said, please make sure your player is at practices. (coaches and team parents will help get them there if you need help, just ask) Coaches reserve the right to use non-play as a discipline measure but will inform parents prior to game. Player will still need to be present to support their team (coach will notify board prior to game) Vikki
13
Equipment Bat and helmet Rules
Helmets must meet the NOCSAE standard and stamped Bats must be USABat stamped Littleleague.org/batinfo You can find a list of approved bats and specific information No USABat stamp -do not buy it (exception seniors- see bat rules) Darrin or Vikki
14
Community These fields belong to the community and we need to take pride in them Please respect the grounds. Throw your trash into the bins, not on the ground Please leave your pets at home Report any problems to a board member immediately Keep children off of equipment (i.e batting cages and fences) Please take care of facilities when using them Put equipment away and offer to help No seed spitting (City Rule) Vikki
