2 CHRISTIAN MARTYRDOM

3 PARTS OF WORSHIP TEACHING (DIDACHE) PREACHING (KERYGMA)
FELLOWSHIP (KOINONIA) SERVICE (DIAKONIA) LITURGY (LITOURGIA) WARNING (PROPHETIA) MARTYRDOM (MARTYRIA)

4 MARTYRDOM or SACRIFICE
We Cannot Endure The Hardships In Ministry If We Don’t Know How To Sacrifice Our commitments should always be established in genuine passion and sacrifice Without the sacrifices of our forefathers we wouldn’t have the privileges/rights.. ..to become Christians ..to read the Bible ..to express our Faith freely ..or being part of this church

5 2 questions What are we going to sacrifice? Why do we need to sacrifice?

6 What are we going to sacrifice?
Our Lives (Romans 12:1) Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Our Earthly Goals (Matthew 13:44) "The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field.” Our Comfort Zone (Matthew 8:20) Jesus replied, "Foxes have dens and birds have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head.“ Our Personal Agenda (Matthew 8:21-22) Another disciple said to him, "Lord, first let me go and bury my father. But Jesus told him, Follow me, and let the dead bury their own dead."

7 Why do we need to sacrifice?
To Help Others (Luke 10:25-37) “The first question which the priest and the Levite asked was: 'If I stop to help this man, what will happen to me?' But...the good Samaritan reversed the question: 'If I do not stop to help this man, what will happen to him?” ― Martin Luther King, Jr. To Serve God And to Receive His Blessings (Matthew 6:33) But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

8 Reflection: We must remember that God gave His life for us
He is protecting us 24/7 He gave us life and the things we need to live What can we give to our Lord to express our gratitude? [Video Clip]
