2 Planning Examiners like to see evidence of planning, setting deadlines and achieving them. One method: timeline (amended and adjusted as you have progressed through your project). This does not have to be computer based although they like to see that you have developed new skills and learning how to use a new programme can tick this box.

8 A02 - Research Not a problem if most research is online. You should have explored every avenue. A wide range of research. They do not like ‘Wikipedia’ – only use it as a starting point. Check the reliability/validity of all sources.

9 Use of Research in Dissertations:
It cannot read like: One source of research then a section of writing followed by another source with another section etc.

10 AO3 – Developing & Realising
It’s not just the outcome that is important but the skills development for the student. Has your project stretched you and taken you out of your comfort zone? (The subjects that you are studying will be entered on the record forms for EPQ). The project needs to be A2 standard (you get AS points but as you can be awarded an A* it is A2 level).

11 AO4 – Reflection & presentation
Evaluation should be ongoing – not just a section at the end. Reflection – show awareness of strengths/weaknesses and development. Market place presentation – photograph display material. Audience to complete a questionnaire and this is used as evidence.
