2 Enable Trust What are we proposing? Why are we proposing this?
What are the benefits to pupils? What are the benefits to staff? What are the benefits for parents and the community?

3 What are we proposing? As experts, committed to meeting children’s needs and ensuring outstanding progress and outcomes for all, we are proposing to form a Multi Academy Trust - a formal partnership and creation of a company limited by guarantee that ceases to be under the authority of the LA

4 Enable Trust proactively working together to protect, improve and sustain the educational provision for children and young people with complex, severe, profound and multiple learning difficulties collaborating to ensure we maximize the potential for sustainable school improvement working together to shape the future - influencing provisions and services including those from social care and health that support our pupils and families developing staff expertise and growing leaders for tomorrow

5 Core rationale The Vision Special school voice
standards, sustainable school improvement sustainability of provision, succession planning

6 Why are we proposing this?
1. Local government/LA resources significantly reduced and decision making affected 2. Education system not recognising and planning effectively for needs of young people with SEN and their families 3. Schools need to support each other and be able to choose who they work with 4. Lack of education, health and social care provision for our pupils 5. Need to grow leaders from within 6. Reduced funding for schools Enable Trust – Hope and a strong voice in uncertain times!

7 "Achieving more together"
Aims: To ensure that all pupils feel happy and safe and achieve their full potential developing the skills they need to succeed and enjoy life. To ensure each school within the trust is a centre of excellence providing exceptional holistic learning experiences for each and every pupil.

8 Benefits for pupils Sustaining and developing provision through shared resources, wider expertise and more flexible learning opportunities Some cost sharing and efficiencies that will help us to gain better value for money and ultimately meet the needs of pupils more effectively Stronger voice to influence the system locally and nationally More opportunities for staff to learn from each other and best practice to be shared Greater input from wider professional network and support from highly skilled Trustees Ability to support young people with SEND in mainstream schools through ETHOS

9 Benefits for staff More job security over time within the Trust
More career opportunities Enhanced training and development opportunities More opportunities to share own inquiry led pedagogy Vocation satisfaction - being part of the cutting edge in transforming special education and supporting families

10 Benefits for parents and families
A stronger voice to speak up for young people with SEN and their families at national and regional level Increased capacity to offer holistic support to parents and carers The opportunity to create more relevant post 16 provision (and possibly KS1 provision) in South Glos for Culverhill pupils The opportunity to create more special school places in South Glos for young people with SLD/PMLD needs through the free school and possibly for CLD in the future

11 Shared values Achievement, Belonging, Celebration
Working together to value individuals and develop potential The opportunity to shape the future with our own values and vision

12 Summary Excellent track record of school improvement/ consistency in delivering strong outcomes for pupils in both schools and the ability to support each other still further Clear shared vision - enabling children to be the best that they can be A financial advantage over time that protects what we do and enables us to put money into areas we want to improve for pupils Leadership including Governance that has a strong track record of delivering for pupils and the capacity to grow future leaders from within A stronger voice to speak up for young people with SEN and their families at national and regional level Increased capacity to offer holistic support to parents and carers and to develop new provision in South Glos
