9 Economically Disadvantaged Students
We have a large number of economically disadvantaged students at Nickajack. This subgroup struggles with literacy, so we implemented interventions to increase their reading inventory skills. In addition to the intensive instruction by their classroom teachers, a group of 15 homeless students received tutoring 2 days a week, were given access to book on their reading level, and encouraged to read for 20 minutes every evening.

10 Reading Inventory Scores for Economically Disadvantaged Students
