3. The main centres of industry are Galway, Castlebar, Letterkenny, Sligo and Dundalk.
Galway is the only urban center and has electronics.NUIG provides a trained workforce and the city has direct transport links with the east by air, road and rail.

4. The Government recognises the importance of bringing industry into the area and so it gives many grants and loans to attract companies.
