3 Recycling System Collecting/Sorting – Each item that can be recycled is collected into one location and then sorted according to type. Non-recyclable items are removed.

4 Recycling System Processing – Recyclable items go through several processes to clean, chop, reduce, and reshape into a raw material. Raw Material – The basic material something is made from

5 Recycling System Manufacturing – the raw material is then created into something new from the recycled material.

6 Recycling System Selling/Purchasing/Reusing – The final step is to take the new recycled product to the consumers and public for purchase or reuse.
