2 A little history… Origami is a model that is made out of folded paper. It was developed in China. Origami paper can be used to create complex figures. It can also be used to visualize geometrical concepts. For example, it is utilized to show different kinds of bisectors. Such as angle bisector, perpendicular bisector, and segment line bisector. 3 Terms Angle bisector A line passing through an angle, cutting it into two equal smaller angles Perpendicular bisector A line that traverses another line, cutting into two equal halves and forming 90⁰ angles Line segment bisector A line that traverses another line at the midpoint, cutting it into two equal halves. The angles do not necessarily have the same measurement Line segment Line that links two points Congruent angles Angles that have the same measurement Supplementary angles Two angles whose measurements add to 180⁰ Complementary angles Two angles whose measurement adds to 90⁰
