Farmers- dug irrigation canals through deserts Traded with natives in California

5 Ways of life for North American Natives
Basic Needs- Women collected roots, seeds, acorns, and berries Men Fished and hunted Wild game was plentiful in the Pacific Coast and Eastern Woodlands Agriculture was important in many areas Trade was common Items such as beads and shells were used as currency

6 Beliefs Close relationship with the natural world
Spirituality was a part of daily life Traditions reflected this Green corn festival in south east Pueblos carving kachina dolls representing spirits Storytelling kept up oral tradition Traditions passed from generation to generation
