12 CMA-1 (Exchange of best practices)
Final version of the surface water monitoring chemical guidance to be approved at the plenary meeting in Paris. Sediment/Biota draft outline to be discussed at the plenary meeting in Paris. Field Trial performed in Budapest

13 CMA-2 (Quality assurance and control)
At the workshop held in Brussels in June, the first draft of the EAQC-WISE blueprint (i.e. the strategy for QA/QC for the WFD monitoring) has been discussed with different interested parties and stakeholders (workshop report is available from the project website). The feedback received will be included into the final document that will be presented at the CMA meeting in Paris 21 October. The final document will be available to the public after the end of the project (30/11/2008). QA/ QC Directive (legal consultation inside the EU Commission)

The mandate to CEN for the development or improvement of standards in support of the WFD was edited on 7th April 2008 under the number M/424 The chemical parameters are: organochlorine pesticides, chloroalkanes, tributyltin compounds, pentabromodiphenylethers, PAH.

15 Activity CMA-3 (Standardisation)
The first round of tenders for the consortium for the execution of the mandate is finished. The draft consortium has been identified with the help of the evaluation group A consortium meeting will be the 14th November at DIN in Berlin to discuss in details the tasks, duties and the further steps with all potential partners.
