1 10/1/14 Journal Discussion Questions 1. If the eye piece for a compound microscope has a magnification of 10 x and the student is using an objective with a magnification of 20 x. What is the total magnification? 2. Explain how you calculate magnification.

2 Reminders Final Draft of your Research Report is due no later than Friday, Attach your rough draft, the rubric used to grade your rough draft, and the rubric from your packet. You must have all three attached for it to be considered complete and ready to be graded. ON the BACK of the paper with the chart, please create a time-line with the scientist picture, name, date, and historical events from the chart. Textbook page may help you with the timeline. 3
