Warm-Up: Take a ¼ sheet. Read the following excerpts: 1) "If Dorothy would only be contented to live in the Emerald City," continued the Scarecrow, "we might all be happy together." 2) As Dorothy bade the good-natured Guardian a last farewell she said: "I have been very kindly treated in your lovely City, and everyone has been good to me. I cannot tell you how grateful I am.“ Copy each bold underlined word on your paper. Chunk the words into their parts (circle the vowel sounds first).
