They are made of wood, leather, iron hoops(铁箍) and ropes. The drum heads are made of different kinds of leather. So we can hear different sounds. Mostly the long drums are used for dancing and they are also used at festivals and other celebrations. More and more people come to Yanbian to enjoy not only long drum dance but other traditional performances too.
