In addition to the book you can do your research online using a facility called myCareersRoom. Within this area you can access your workbook and research any careers of choice. There are spaces where you can make notes on your research and in the Portfolio section record skills developed as well as achievements and experience gained.

The Portfolio Section can be accessed by clicking on Portfolio found under the myCareersRoom heading (see the first slide in this section on myCareersRoom) This section helps to keep a record of the skills you have developed and gives you a reminder of useful skills to develop – from a drop down menu, You can record the ones you have gained (with examples). There are also tabs to access space for recording: Work experience, Interests, Hobbies and Achievements as well as a Diary. This information should prove extremely useful when you have to compile a CV or write a Personal Statement
