Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.

For provision and protection for all tearfund’s staff and church partners who work in challenging contexts bringing hope where hope has been lost
For peace and resolution to nations in conflict which makes it harder for people to sustain their livelihoods and feed their families

14 For if you forgive other people their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive yours. 15 But if you do not forgive others, your Father will not forgive your trespasses.

14. Prayer is a serious business
16 “When you fast, do not look sombre as the hypocrites do, for they disfigure their faces to show others they are fasting. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. 17 But when you fast, put oil on your head and wash your face, 18 so that it will not be obvious to others that you are fasting, but only to your Father, who is unseen; and your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
