Year of the Family

“Work at It!” Genesis 24:1-9; 63-67

Grow old along with me! The best is yet to be, The last of life, for which the first was made: Our times are in His hand Who saith, “A whole I planned, Youth shows but half; trust God: see all, nor be afraid!” poet Robert Browning

“… But in order for those words to become reality, husbands and wives must say grow old along with me. Do you want to grow old with your spouse? Do you really want to have a happy marriage?”

Contrary to what many think, “best wishes” and “good luck” have nothing to do with a happy, healthy marriage…

At some point, in every marriage reality will set in and the honeymoon will be over, then what? God makes clear – each of us must work at it!

Purpose: to better realize the necessity of working at marriage to realize wedded bliss

Unless there is a willingness on both parties involved to work at making marriage what God intended it to be, there will be no wedded bliss.
