It all started at the beginning of 2017
We mainly operate in three districts in Italy
New Clubs! New Members!
Action Steps:
Use existing LCI resources and national/local best practices
Specialty clubs have a big potential
Strong emphasis on club branch
Create action plans – go from “saying” to “doing”
What kind of specialties (new specialty ideas: music, diabetes, pediatric cancer…)
How can they function (online or local: experiences on creating club branch and experiences turning it into a normal club)
Before the club is created, think of several service projects that club could do in the area

3. The process
We did some orientation meetings where we explained them what lionism is
We have asked them if they want to continue to serve by setting up a lions club
We asked them to contact non-lions who were involved in the activity
We looked for people, predominantly lions, who were involved in specific activities

Lions Clubs Torino Filadelfia
It is predominantly formed by dentists who have the purpose of assisting, with free dental care, poor people in the outskirts of the city. It is a club focused on this service, with an average age of 37, where all the members have decided to offer their expertise to serve the community.

Youth exchanges
It is formed by those who host the youth on exchange. There are groups of people who meet to develop the service and to coordinate the activities.
The first lions clubs was formed in Puglia at end of 2017.
Other clubs are developing in Liguria and Tuscany

Water for Life
It is formed by people who are part of the Foundation Lions Water for Life. It specializes in the design and construction of potable water wells, irrigation systems, alternative solar and wind energy systems with related applications, which mainly operate in Africa
The first club Genova Water for life was chartered in January 2018.

It is a club made up of health professionals, doctors and others whose purpose is to offer a service to propose methodologies and the application of the correct lifestyles as primary prevention of diseases.
The club Puglia Medicina solidare life style was chartered in January 2018.
