Since the hair has a follicular tag (a soft tissue from the follicle) attached to the roots, it may have been forcibly removed.
Remember that the follicular material may be suitable for nuclear DNA analysis.

Policy Regarding Remediation of Formative Grades
Formative (minor) grades may be remediated one time subject to the following:
The maximum grade for a remediated formative grade is 70.
If a student is present on the day the formative is assigned, he/she must take the assignment that period.
If the assignment is not started by a present student, he/she will receive a 0 and this counts as the first attempt. The highest score they can then make is a 70 on the remediation.
For students who start the assignment but do not finish, they must have completed half or more of the questions in order to be allowed to finish without penalty.
For students who start the assignment but do not finish, if they completed less than half the questions, they will receive a 0 for the first attempt. The highest score they can then make is a 70 on the remediation.
Scores of 70 or higher cannot be remediated.

Here (once again) is the policy for general conduct during the class period:
As has been stated many, many times before, students should not be using their cell phones when the class in involved in learning activities. This, of course, is made even worse by listening to music and wearing headphones during learning activities. DO WE REALLY HAVE TO START COLLECTING THEM?
Please, keep your head up off of your desk, unless you are sick. If that be the case, you can go to the clinic!
