1 GOES/RHESSI Overview M1.5/1 N flare from the outskirts of AR 9973
Flare at S19 E29 GOES 03:50 – 03:57 – 04:01 Type II 03:56 – 04:06 Type III: 03:58 – 04:03 Wind/WAVES 12-30 10-12 50-100 30-50

2 Summary Spatial & temporal evolution of the June 01, 2002 Flare
Outward electrons only after the eruption – similar to 4/21/02 Shock-accelerated electrons or escaping due to eruption?

3 Microwave Light Curve TRACE 195: 03:53:33, 03:53:50, 03:54:07, 03:55:32, 03:56:6, 03:56:57 Two phases as in HiRAS spectrum First phase has three spikes at 3:53:40, 3:53:50, & 3:54:15 3:55:25 Second phase has two peaks: 3:56:10 & 3:57:05 Second Phase has eruption and type II (no LASCO data )

4 June 01 Radio Event Type II 03:56 – 04:06 180 – 25 MHz

5 HiRAS WAVES Type III starts at 03:58:30 in the metric and continues to WAVES range. There is no other activity on the Sun  The type III is related to The event in question 1.5 min after the metric Type II

6 B structure in the Flare Region
Green: B + Red: B – Yellow: B lines

7 Microwave Sources Shift between the Two Phases
Color & Black Contr: 03:53 Gyroresonance source does not shift between 3:53 and 3:59:30 Flare source does  In phase 2, the western footpoint is dominant? Gyr-Res Free-free Red Contr: 3:59:30
