Use a sample value for x, example decision

2. You are to work in groups of up to 5 students in preparing this paper.
You are to select one of the data sets on your STAT Disc and use it to take a sample.
The data set should have at least N = 50 observations and your sample size should be at least n = 10, for larger data set of N = 100 or more, n = 20 .
You are to select a random sampling distribution model and use it to obtain your sample data. YOU MUST DESCRIBE YOUR SAMPLING PROCESS.
Once you have your sample data you will compute the statistics of Mean, Median, Mode, Standard Dev., etc.
You must write a paragraph or two describing your findings.

3. You will need to draw a graph illustrating the shape of the distribution such as a histogram, polygon, stem-leaf chart, etc.
Describe the shape of your sample data and what it means.
You will need to then compute the Rule of Thumb Range limits for your sample data. YOU MUST EXPLAIN WHAT THIS MEANS. Be able to put it into a Decision Making type statement.
Finally, discuss briefly what your sample data means:
Is it accurate, what are some potential problems, what would we expect if we took more samples, etc.
