1 Open Automation Software
Universal Driver Interface SDK Enterprise Data Automation • HMI/SCADA Solutions • Industrial IoT Protocol Gateway

2 Open Automation Software Universal Driver Interface
Allows you to create communication drivers for the OAS IIoT Framework. This enables virtually endless possibilities for connectivity between devices, data, and APIs currently unsupported by drivers included with the OAS Platform.

3 UDI Features Flexible Networking Options local or wide area networks including over the Internet Remote Connectivity Lightweight UDI Drivers can be deployed remotely without a full instance of OAS Multiple OS support UDI Drivers can be hosted on Windows, Mac, Linux, Android, iOS, and even Raspberry Pi OAS Configuration App Integration UDI Drivers are configurable alongside built-in device drivers within OAS tools Automatic Tag Configuration UDI SDK includes features for automatically building tag configurations

4 OAS Native Drivers The OAS Platform includes native drivers for PLCs, devices, databases, and can integrate with other instances of OAS installations locally or over wide networks and the Internet.

5 UDI Deployment Options
The UDI SDK allows you to develop custom drivers that can be deployed locally, alongside native drivers on the same system as the OAS Server, or standalone on remote devices closer to the data source.

6 Deploy to any platform using .NET Standard
The UDI is based on the .NET Standard, so it can be deployed on any platform using the same codebase. The Universal Driver Interface, communicates with an OAS server Your driver code communicates with a device, API, or anything else you want to use as a data source. Your Driver is then hosted on the target platform as an app, service, or system process, depending on the OS

7 UDI SDK Includes Developers with C# and VB.NET Skills can create custom communications drivers to their own devices and APIs. These drivers support the following features: Custom Driver-level properties accessible both programmatically and within the OAS Configuration application Custom Tag-level properties also accessible programmatically and within the OAS tools Example code for both C# and VB.NET Example code for hosting drivers as Windows Services or .NET Core console apps Examples and documentation for deployment to Windows, Linux, and Raspberry Pi
