1 Poster Contest Rules for 2013-2014 Reno, Nevada

2 Involve children, schools and parents in the Elks Drug Awareness Program Create an opportunity for a State DAP to gain National Recognition Great publicity for Local Lodges & State Associations

3 POSTERS ARE USED TO CREATE THE ELKS COLORING BOOK!

4 This contest is for boys and girls in grades 3 – 5 This is not a contest for High School Students

5 Is it based on the theme? Is it original? Is it neat? Is it age appropriate?

6 The Poster should be drawn on standard 8-1/2 by 11 inch paper The Poster should contain an anti-drug message The Poster should not depict any copyrighted character or Trade Marks

7 Name of the Student Age & Grade of the Student Home Address of the Student Name of the Students School

8 Name and Number of Sponsoring Lodge Parental Form (Hold Harmless Waiver) Students should be informed that their posters become the property of the BPOE

9 The contest runs from September 1, 2013 until March 3 1, 2014 Submit selected posters to: Gerry Kirkland 3376 Richards Crossing Fort Mill, SC 29708

10 EVENTUALLY*, EACH POSTER MAKES ITS WAY INTO AN EDITION OF THE COLORING BOOK *EVENTUALLY BECAUSE THE COLORING BOOK ONLY HAS 20 PAGES

11 Boy and girl winners will receive $100. There will be one National winner who will receive an electronic media device from the Drug Awareness Program (value = $300) The National winner is also featured on the cover of the Coloring Book

12 Down with Drugs…. Up With Awareness
