8. Summary We think we can get to 5e33 with the present machine
We should be able to get to 1e34 without any major IR hardware changes
Getting to 3e34 may require adding more focusing to the inside quadrupole (QD1) in order to get the small vertical spot size we want. We would do this by either replacing some of the existing B1 magnet with focusing slices or by replacing the PM Q1 with a superconductor.
This introduces a small crossing angle which also gives us the option of filling every RF bucket with beam
