Paul continues his discussion about earthly vs. Godly wisdom
Also mentions man’s vs. God’s spirit a lot too
We don’t speak with earthly (man’s) wisdom in preaching the gospel, or rulers of the world would have followed it

There’s basically three ways in which “mystery” is typically used (vs 7)
The gospel itself
That all man (Jew & Gentile) are saved by the gospel
That God would send His Son to die on the cross for our sins
All related to the gospel

As I mentioned at the end of last week, the Holy Spirit is our interface with God
Without the Holy Spirit, we wouldn’t understand Godly wisdom or the will of God (vs. 14

What does Paul mean in vs. 16 that we have the mind of Christ?
So, we can finally answer our question: how does this apply to our Christian walk today?

We have to study! If we don’t exercise our “spiritual muscles” then they atrophy
The Spirit will help us understand the mind of God
This doesn’t mean we’ll learn everything God knows, obvies
This is in relation to what God wants from us and interpreting God’s Word

Why couldn’t Paul speak to them as men rather than babes in 1-2a?

So, these couple of verses beg one very obvious question: How do we get ready to receive real food rather than milk?
