4 Inequalities An inequality is a mathematical statement containing one or more inequality sign (<, >, ,  ). Inequalities x + 3 < 14 x + 4  2x - 6 4 > -x + 3

5 Properties for Inequalities
For all real numbers a, b, and c: If a > b, then a + c > b + c. If a > b, then a - c > b – c. If a > b and c > 0 then ac > bc. 4. If a > b and c > 0 then If a > b and c < 0 then ac < bc. 6. If a > b and c < 0 then
