Math
This week, we will teach comparing decimals, while reviewing adding tenths and hundredths. Our test is Friday. Please refer to the study guide to help your child prepare.
Language Arts
This week, we will focus on distinguishing complex vs. simple problems in a text using our “Number the Stars,” novel. We will be reading chapters throughout the week. We will also continue our opinion writing unit. The students will take their 3rd benchmark the following week, so we will be reviewing all of our skills throughout the week to prepare.
. Science
We will start a unit on fossils and students will discover how fossils get in rocks and learn about what they tell us about the past. There will be a lab book check on Friday and summative exam next Friday (March 1)
