3. DEFINING DISABILITY Merriam-Webster definition:
damages or limits a person's physical or mental abilities
unable to do things in the normal way
a disqualification, restriction, or disadvantage
ADA definition
An individual with a disability is a person who:
has a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more major life activities; OR
has a record of such an impairment; OR
is regarded as having such an impairment.

Not a negative connotation
ADA doesn’t list disability types so it includes invisible disabilities (every one is different)
