2 Responsibilities Before and During the Game CREW: Pre-Game Conference: All officials actively engaged in discussion Referee: Talk with game management if inclement weather is a possibility CREW: Meet with Head Coaches approximately 35 minutes before Game Time

3 Each official introduces himself (Name/Position) to the Head Coach Referee: Ask if players are legally equipped. – NO LONGER need to ask if QB and Punter are right or left handed. – Ask only for Kicker

QB -- Pass/Fumble & Int. Grounding 7. Official Score & Game Stopped Score 8. Complete All Reports Except DQ 9. Number of Team TO's -- Crew & Scoreboard 10. Backward Pass -- Punch & Yell 11. Decide to go to OKOM When Crew Disagrees 12. The Expert -- Rules 2 & 9

8 Back Judge 1.Play Clock & 25 Seconds to Snap/Kick; Time TO's 2.Signal R to Start Clock or Not When Stopped 3.KO -- Count KT (11) 4.FG/Punt/Try -- Count RT (11) 5.Run/Pass -- Count B (11) 6.Pass Coverage -- Coordinate with LM/LJ 7.Extension of Period-Communicate with R 8.Game Stopped -- Record Concussion, DQ & UNS 9.Punt -- Any Signals by RT 10.Subs B, & RT on FG/Punt/Try 11.Next KO -- Time 30 seconds, then jog to K 12.The Expert -- Rules 6 & 8

10 Unsportsmanlike Conduct LEGAL ACTS : A.Cross GL & Simulate a cross on chest B.Cross GL & point to the sky C.Cross GL & pray for a short time D.High Fives with teammates E.Jumps and chest bumps with teammates F.Spontaneous celebration shared with teammates G.Celebration done in team box area H.Cross GL & raise a teammate into the air I.Raising the ball in the air after crossing the GL J.Players spontaneously jumping on a pile in the endzone

11 Illegal Acts A.Using Profanity, insulting, or vulgar language or gestures B.Derogatory remarks directed at the officials C.Signals that the official needs to throw a flag D.One or more flips E.Celebrating by dancing in the endzone or dancing/stomping on the home teams logo F.Spike football into the ground G.Dunk or attempt to dunk over the crossbar H.Hand or throw the FB to or at an opponent

12 A.Intentionally fail to place football on the ground or intentionally return it to a nearby official B.Kick, throw, spin, or carry the football in any distance that requires the official to retrieve it C.Make hand gestures such as choking, throat slashing, pounding ones chest, pointing to bicep, pointing finger like a gun D.Bow at the waste after a good play; signal 1 st down; or hand salute to an opponent or spectators E.Strike a pose that is meant to incite or taunt opponents and/or spectators F.Point back or wave at an opponent

13 A.Dive into the endzone or alter stride as he approaches his GL with no opponents nearby (unless he is conserving time late in either half) B.Go into stands to interact with spectators C.Use gestures to encourage crowd to boo officials D.Teamates engaged in choreographed celebration E.Stand over player just tackled and point or try to intimidate him F.Repeatedly punch FG post pad G.Runner turns & taunts an opponent while crossing the GL H.Remember to record number of offending player and inform the head coach
