8 Mayrhofen The cosmopolitan and trendy international ski resort of Mayrhofen, with its outstanding winter facilities, has been a favourite with British skiers for many years. Easy access from Innsbruck and Munich Airports (70km and 190km respectively). Vibrant atmosphere with a backdrop of traditional Tirolean architecture and peaks rising to well over 3000m. Everything you need for a successful ski trip: superb selection of general and clothing shops, cafés, bars, restaurants, discos, swimming pool, bowling and much more. Even though the nearest access to the skiing for our parties is via the much quieter Horbergbahn, only 150m from the Hotel Sidan, the new futuristic Penkenbahn from the village centre means access to the skiing is much faster Mayrhofen has many facilities including: Shops/restaurants –Cafés/bars/pizzerias Swimming Ice skating/curling Bowling Cinema Disco in Ramsau Night skiing in Kaltenbach-Hochzillertal (January-March) & Hochfügen (February and beginning of march) (charge for lifts & instruction) Doctors Hospital in Schwaz

9 Ziller Valley Ziller Valley offers a ski range of 630-3250m
There is 515km of piste, (171km blue runs, 264km red, 42km of black, 34km of ski routes and 5km snow park) with a good selection for all abilities offering good progression for beginners and some exhilarating runs for intermediate and experienced skiers. 25 Handy Tips Don’t pack your ski jacket take it onto the coach with you as it will get colder during the night. You might also want to take a small sleeping bag/blanket and a pillow. Take plenty of snacks and drinks (preferably water) for the journey. Take a plastic carrier with you so you can collect your rubbish and pop straight into the bin. The coach is yours for the duration of the tour and therefore you need to keep it clean and tidy. You might also want to pack some mini snacks in your suitcase as skiing uses a lot of calories and local shops don’t always have your favourites. If possible take a large soft holdall rather than a hard suitcase as this packs easier into the coach holdall and is also much better for storage in your room. Don’t forget to pack one pair of ski socks in your hand luggage for your ski fit. Pack a small bag to take on the slopes each day. Important: Service stations across Europe charge 50 cents to use their facilities so please bring some change.

26 Ski Lessons In January I have booked some dry ski lessons for beginners There will be 4 lesson and it is advised that beginners attend them all.
