1 Blackboard Save a File as .rtf
If people cannot open the files you send, you should save your files in “Rich Text Format.” Rich Text Format (.rtf) files are universally readable. With this format, documents created in any word-processing software (Word 2010, Word 2007, Works, WordPerfect, etc.) can be opened and read using any other word-processing software. Save a File as .rtf Step 1: Open the file. Click File then Save As. This is the File menu in Word 2010 In Word 2007, you must click Other Formats Step 2: If you are using Word 2007, you must click Other Formats. Step 3: A small window will open. Find the field Save as type. Click the drop-down arrow to expand the menu then click on Rich Text Format or RTF. Step 4: Click Save.
