wicps.org Join our training to become a Certified Parent Peer Specialist A certified parent peer specialist is an individual with lived experiences in parenting a child with mental health and/or substance use concerns and is knowledgeable in navigating systems of care for a child. An active participant on the consumer’s treatment and recovery team. A paid professional who uses their experience and training to support recovery. You must complete an application and pass an interview to be selected for training. Only the first 50 applications will be considered. Training applications will only be accepted from the following counties: Brown, Calumet, Door, Fond du Lac, Green Lake, Kewaunee, Manitowoc, Marinette, Marquette, Menominee, Oconto, Outagamie, Shawano, Sheboygan, Washburn, Waupaca, Winnebago Monday December 10th Tuesday December 11th Thursday December 13th Monday December 17th Tuesday December 18th Wednesday December 19th Hours: 8am-4:30pm Training Location: Options for Independent Living 555 Country Club Road Green Bay, WI 54313 To request an application, or for more information, contact Kitty Barry: x 183 Applications must be received by Friday, November 30th, 2018 This training is sponsored by Options for Independent Living You must successfully complete the state-approved Peer Specialist training and pass the certification exam to be a certified Peer Specialist.
