3. The Problem
How to get Registrations taken by an external Vendor (Ed2Go or Protrain) into Student Manager?

4. . . Solution Outline: Download data from vendor
Import file into Student Manager
. .

5. Assumptions:
Download file has Student Info, course ID, Registration Fee
You record unique course per Reg
unique for each On line registrant
Will store to REG either Retail Fee or “Net” fee (rgcrsefee)
Want option to group the batch of registrations (for later “payoff”)
. .

6. So Where do you start ?
Registration Preferences: Set up Fee Descriptions

7. Then to Tools!

8. You’ll need to have your downloaded Source File … Excel

9. The Excel File can have multiple Names, multiple courses, multiple registrations with different fees for each.

10. Let’s go do it!

11. What Happened?? .
Name added (if exists, it did NOT create a dup)
A course was added (if the “Section” # did not exist)
A registration was added (if it did not exist)
It used the fee descriptors you set up in Preferences
With the Group Option, you could go back in later and
apply a vendor payment to the entire group.
6. You get a results panel, telling you the numbers!
