3 Definition of Faith and Believe
Faith – pistis: persuasion, conviction, confidence Believe – pisteuo: to have faith in, to believe, entrust. Zodiates: To be firmly persuaded as to something, to believe, followed by the idea of hope and certain expectation. A conviction, a certainty of heart that God raised Jesus from the dead.

4 Jesus Came Why did God send Jesus into the world?
Matt. 1:18-21 and I Timothy 1:15 To save His people from their sins. What is the definition of sin? hamartia – to miss the mark. Missing the true end and scope of our lives, which is God.

7 Message Matt. 3:1-12 Produce fruit in keeping with repentance
Repent: metanoeo – to change the mind, relent; it involves regret or sorrow, accompanied by a true change of heart toward God. Jesus preached: Mark 1:14-15 Repent and believe the good news Luke 13:2-5 Unless one repents, he will perish Luke 24:44-48 Jesus connected repentance with forgiveness Luke 15:10 Heaven rejoices when a sinner repents

Keep the commandments Sell your possessions and give to the poor Come and follow Me He went away sad because wealth was his god. Salvation is only possible with God Turn from all else and put Him first Mark 8:34-38 “Deny yourself, take up your cross and Follow Me”. Total commitment.

10 Peter’s Message 2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slow
His patience is exhibited in that He has not yet returned Repentance is connected with perish No repentance – death So: Can Jesus be Savior and not Lord?
