Your Battling Beaks W.S.
Today’s Objective: Come up with survey questions for our Carnivore Curriculum and take a look at our data to show how genetic variation affects the population of forkbirds.
Due Dates: Battling Beaks Lab due Fri. April 7th

2. Order of Activities:
Complete and turn in your Coexisting With Carnivores Questionnaire to Mr. Abe up front.
Finish your Figuring Out Fossils W.S. and turn it into the homework tent.
Use the Observe to Learn: Animal Behavior App on your device or come up for a piece of scrap paper and a timer and practice collecting data for a 5 minute ethogram.
Engage in evolution related BrainPOP videos or activities from our website (onezoom.org – tree of life)

3. The final step:
Come up with 2-4 multiple choice questions that gather the most important evidence to answer the following investigative question:
How does putting your trash out in the morning affect the number of carnivore trash interactions?
Remember: We have been using the word carnivore for bears and raccoons specifically. Our public might not know what carnivore means.
