3 World Weather Watch WIGOS (GOS component) WIS (GTS component) GDPFS
World Weather Watch Programme Part I of the 2012 edition of Technical Regulations (WMO-No 49) was the “World Weather Watch”, and consisted of three sections Global Observing System, Global Data Processing and Forecasting System and WMO Information System. The 2015 edition removed the World Weather Watch heading, so that Part I is WIGOS, Part II is WIS and Part III is Data Processing and Forecasting. With this change to Technical Regulations the description of the of the World Weather Watch is limited to the “Definitions” and refers explicitly to the GOS, GDPFS and GTS.

The Public Weather Services (PWS) Programme constitutes the main conduit connecting National Meteorological and Hydrological Services (NMHSs) to the public, media, disaster management authorities, communities affected by weather-related disasters, and social and economic user sectors

5 WMO Space Programme WMO Space Programme is a cross-cutting programme to increase the effectiveness and contributions from satellite systems to WMO Programmes and provide the space-based contribution to the WMO Integrated Global Observing System
