2 ABSTRACT In order to improve the coexistence capability of WRAN, we propose the measurement reports from CPEs in multiple overlapping cells should be not only transmitted to its service BS but also forwarded to its co-existence BSs Wu Yu-Chun Huawei Hisi

3 Distributive Sensing in WRAN
The BS and associated CPEs get a comprehensive sensing report collaboratively in WRAN cell, but the veracity of sensing report depends on the distribution of CPEs in WRAN cell. The right part of cover will be blind or semi-blind. Wu Yu-Chun Huawei Hisi

4 Scenario (I) ----coexistence with incumbent
BS A and associated CPEs work on channel A BS B and associated CPEs (including B-CPE) work on channel B Incumbent works on channel A B-CPE associated with BS B gets the incumbent on channel A, while BS A does interference with incumbent . Wu Yu-Chun Huawei Hisi

5 Scenario (II) ----coexistence with other WRAN system
BS A and associated CPEs work on channel A BS B and associated CPEs (including B-CPE) work on channel B BS C and associated CPEs work on channel A WRAN A is hard to recovery WRAN C as neighbor. B-CPE have the capability to get the CBP from both BS A and BS C Wu Yu-Chun Huawei Hisi

6 Proposed Solution After done the measurement by BS’s instruction, the CPE in multiple overlapping area can do follow steps: Firstly, CPE report back to its service BS as same as the traditional ways [1] Secondly, if necessary, the CPEs send information with coexistence measurement report to neighbor cell according to service BS’ scheduling , such as CBP with measurement report After getting the measurement report about coexistence information from CPE in overlapping area, the BS can perform notify neighbor BS by two approaches Send CBP to neighbor cell with measurement report by itself Schedule CPE as a relay to send information with coexistence measurement report , such as CBP with measurement report Wu Yu-Chun Huawei Hisi

7 CBP information Element
Introduce a B-CPE Measurement Report IE (BM_REP_IE) in CBP IE[2] to including coexistence measurement report Table 1 CBP Information Elements Element ID Name Beacon IE 18 BS Channel Parameter IE XX BM_REP_IE Wu Yu-Chun Huawei Hisi

8 Coexistence Measurement Report
Different with the measurement report [1]/[3] in service cell, the types of coexistence measurement report only include coexistence information (bold ) Table 2 Coexistence Measurement report Type Element ID (1 byte) Length (bytes) Description Variable TV System Related Measurement Report 1 Part 74 System Related Measurement Report 2 Beacon ( BS and CPE Related) Measurement Report 3 Stop Measurement Report 4 CPE Statistics Measurement Report 5 Location Configuration Measurement Report 6 Beacon (Part 74) Measurement Report 7 Channel Feedback Measurement Report 8 WLAN System Related Measurement Report 9 WPAN System Related Measurement Report 10 WMAN System Related Measurement Report 11-128 Reserved Blue: for incumbent Red : other CR system Black: for WRAN system Grey: No use for neighbor Wu Yu-Chun Huawei Hisi

9 Scenario (I) ----coexistence with incumbent
B-CPE in Cell B gets the incumbent on channel A. B-CPE reports to BS B BS B gets the report and schedules B-CPE to send Cell A and/or Cell C a coexistence beacon with BM_REP_IE Cell A communicate with Cell B through B-CPE and implement self-coexistence Wu Yu-Chun Huawei Hisi

10 Scenario (II) ----coexistence with other WRAN
B-CPE in Cell B CBP from both Cell A and Cell C B-CPE reports to BS B BS B gets the report and schedules BS B/B-CPE to send Cell A a coexistence beacon with BM_REP_IE BS A gets CBP with BM_REP_IE and then gives up channel A Wu Yu-Chun Huawei Hisi

11 Conclusion Our proposal can take advantage of measurement report from the non-service CPE in overlapping area. Our proposal can improve coexistence with both incumbent and WRAN. Our proposal can give a potential way to coexistence with other CR systems Wu Yu-Chun Huawei Hisi
