2 Figure 1 A Diffusion Consumption Model for the Length Scale of Cytokine Distribution in the Lymph Node When IL-2 is secreted by an activated T cell, for example, it diffuses symmetrically from the point source. The length scale of its distribution range is determined by the number of cells carrying the IL-2 receptor (such as Tregs cells) that thereby endocytose the cytokine.
