9 Main Activity Today we are going to be estimating counting
and comparing numbers.

10 What does estimate mean?
An estimate is a reasonable guess. It can never be wrong.

11 I will take a handful of cubes. I will put them into a glass.
Estimate how many cubes you can see.

12 I will remove about half the cubes. Start to count out the others.

16 Group Work Take a handful of objects. Estimate how many there are. Count them. Work out the difference between your estimate and the actual count.
