Scientists wanted to see how different types of music affected the pulse rate of 3 month old babies. They played different types of music: heavy metal, rap, R&B, alternative, pop, country, and classical music at the same volume for the same amount of time for group A babies.They also had a group of babies (group B) listen to a tone for the same period of time.
