1 Vocabulary Project

2 Every semester you will be required to complete a vocabulary project on your own. You will have several different options on which project you want to complete. The vocabulary words will come from all of the reading selections we read in class. You will keep a list of words and definitions in the back of your journal that you will be required to update as we read. Each project will have a due date and a rubric assigned.

Your poem also must reflect a central theme (love is worth sacrificing for, it’s important to have faith, death is inescapable, overcoming obstacles, etc.). You will write the poem in your own words using a minimum of two (2) stanzas with four (5) lines in each stanzas (10 lines total). You must display the 5 words, their definitions, and the quoted sentence from the story with the word highlighted. You must also use each word in your own sentence in the same context it is used in the story. How you choose to display this in your project is up to you. It can be on the back or woven throughout.
