4 Alaska Performance Scholarship
Up to $4,755 a year to schools in Alaska Based on GPA, ACT/SAT/WorkKeys scores Must fill out FAFSA Optional: Create an account on the Alaska Student Aide Portal (ASAP) 2 ways to qualify: 4 math, 4 science, 4 lang. arts, 4 social studies 3 math, 3 science, 4 lang. arts, 4 social studies, 2 foreign lang. ***Not all core courses count for the APS! Check to make sure the classes you select will count if you are planning to qualify for the APS.

5 Not Required for Classes of 2018 or 2019
Current Required State Gradation Exam Not Required for Classes of 2018 or 2019 ACT, SAT, WorkKeys Needed for the Alaska Performance Scholarship Take ACT & SAT late spring of Junior year Take again fall of Senior year Testing dates and locations available in Counseling Office

6 NCAA/NAIA For NCAA Approved High School courses go to Type in for the ACT Code and select Search.  Select Show All Approved Courses, or Show All Denied Courses and compare to your completed and current courses. Register online for NCAA at Register online for NAIA at **Notice**  It is your responsibility as a student and an athlete to make sure that the CORE classes you are taking to meet NCAA and NAIA requirements are accepted.

8 Submitting Course Requests
Please print neatly. Review graduation requirements and transcript to determine needed classes. Review the attached course offerings form and Circle the classes you are interested in. Fill out the bottom portion of this form. Enter classes into computer. Turn in COMPLETED page to your counselor. See the example. For course information, refer to the WHS Scheduling Guide PowerPoint and MSBSD Program of Studies on the WHS website: under the Guidance Tab – Scheduling.

9 When you are done requesting courses:
Go to Click on AKCIS WHS Login Info: Username: wasillahs Password: 4Student 2. Do an occupation sort 3. Do a school sort Information on careers, colleges, and scholarships. Specific to Alaska as well as other states. Lots of information!
