Early disclosure to the TAG of patent information that might be relevant to the standard is essential to reduce the possibility for delays in the development process and increase the likelihood that the draft publication will be approved for publication. Please notify the Chair as early as possible, in written or electronic form, if patented technology (or technology under patent application) might be incorporated into a draft standard being developed within the IEEE TAG. 2 July 2015 Backgrounds WG formed an interest group on coexistence in unlicensed bands at the March 2014 plenary meeting 19-14/0032r0: March 2014 WG Minutes 7 conference calls and 3 face-to-face meetings held from March to November 2014 WG formed a study group on coexistence in unlicensed bands at the November 2014 plenary meeting. The SG was extended to 4 months at January interim meeting. 6 teleconference call had held up to now. Minutes available in the mentor The July 2015 plenary meeting is the fourth face-to-face meeting Hyunduk Kang, ETRI

3 Coexistence in Unlicensed frequency Bands (CUB) Study Group
July 2015 Coexistence in Unlicensed frequency Bands (CUB) Study Group Study items Coexistence scenario and use cases To define necessary information to be exchanged between different systems to mitigate coexistence problems How to exchange messages among entities Methods for improving coexistence among wireless dissimilar systems in unlicensed bands To demonstrate potential coexistence improvements from shared information Other issues related to enhance coexistence in unlicensed bands Hyunduk Kang, ETRI
